Terms of use
These terms cover your use of this website. By using it, you accept them. They sit alongside our privacy policy, which explains what we do with any information you send us.

Using this website
You are welcome to browse the site, share links to it, and print or download pages for your own personal use...planning a visit, checking a menu, passing our details to a friend. That is what it is here for.
Please do not:
- use the site for anything unlawful, or in a way that could damage it or disrupt it for other people
- attempt to gain access to any part of the site, or the server it sits on, that is not intended to be public
- use automated tools to scrape, copy or republish the site or any part of it

Our photography, words and branding
Everything on this site, from the photographs and the written copy to the menus, the page designs, the crest and the name The Russell Arms, belongs to us, or is used here with the owner's permission. It is protected by copyright and by trade mark law.
You may not copy, reuse, republish or adapt any of it without asking us first. That includes taking our photographs for another business's website, social media or listing; reusing our menu descriptions or page copy as your own; and using our name, crest or branding in a way that suggests a connection with the pub where there isn't one.
This comes up most often with directory sites, listings pages and other pubs. We are usually happy to say yes...a lot of our photography was expensive to produce and we would simply rather be asked, and credited. Please get in touch before you use anything.
You are of course free to link to any page on this site, and to quote us briefly with a credit...a review, an article or a blog post is welcome and always has been.
Menus, prices and availability
We keep this site as accurate as we can, but our menus change with the seasons and with what our suppliers have that week. The menus shown here are samples. Prices, dishes and availability can change without notice, and the menu in the pub is the one that applies on the day.
The same goes for opening hours: they can change around bank holidays, private events and over Christmas. If you are travelling any distance, ring us on 01296 624411 and we will tell you where we stand.
Nothing on this site is an offer to supply. A booking is confirmed when we confirm it, not when a page says a table is available.
Bookings and cancellations
Tables are booked through our online booking system, which takes bookings of up to six people. Larger parties and private hire are arranged with us directly.
For private hire and large parties, any deposit and the cancellation terms that go with it are set out in writing when we confirm your booking. Nothing is taken before that.
If your plans change, please let us know as early as you can...by phone, or through the contact form. A table we know about is a table we can offer to someone else, particularly on a Sunday or a Thursday.
Links to other websites
Some buttons on this site take you elsewhere...our booking system, Google Maps, and our Facebook and Instagram pages. Those are other people's websites. We link to them because they are useful, but we do not control them and we are not responsible for their content or for what they do with your information. Their terms and privacy policies apply once you arrive.
Our responsibility to you
We take reasonable care to keep this site accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will always be online or entirely free of errors. We are not liable for any loss arising from relying on information on this site where we could not reasonably have foreseen it.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under English law. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always the one on this page, and the date below tells you when it last changed.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute falls to the courts of England and Wales.
