Book a table for two or a table for twelve and pre-order from the Christmas menu. No minimum spend, just a good meal in a warm pub. Our regular menu runs alongside it for anyone who would rather.
Christmas at The Russell Arms
A proper country-pub Christmas at the foot of the Chilterns. Three festive courses cooked from scratch, a fire on, local ales on the bar and a room that feels like the season, whether you're coming for a quiet lunch, a family celebration or the office party.
Our Christmas menu is served Monday to Saturday from 30 November to 24 December, lunchtimes and evenings, in Butlers Cross just outside Wendover. Sundays stay as they are, with our Sunday roast.

Christmas parties
Work dos, club nights out, the annual gathering of friends who never manage to get together the rest of the year. Send us everyone's choices 48 hours ahead and we'll have the whole table served together.
Private dining and whole-pub hire
Our dining room can be yours for the evening, or for larger parties we can close the pub to the public entirely. Same menu, your own space. See venue hire for how that works.

Tell us your date and numbers
Send an enquiry or ring us. December weekends go first, so the earlier the better. A £10 per person deposit secures the table and comes off your bill on the day.
Pre-order your courses
Send us everyone's choices at least 48 hours before your booking. We'll send the menu with your confirmation.
Come and enjoy it
Plans change, we know. Let us know more than 48 hours ahead and your deposit is refunded in full; inside 48 hours it isn't, because the kitchen will already have bought for you.

Is there a children's Christmas menu?
Children are welcome, and can choose from our children's menu.
Can we bring crackers, decorations or a cake?
Yes. Let us know when you book so we can set the table up for it.
Is there parking?
Yes, on-site parking is free.
